Best time to visit

June to October – This itinerary is really designed for the northern hemisphere summer months, between June and October, when Sri Lanka’s east coast is at it’s best. The monsoon is on the other side of the island, meaning much less wind and dryer weather on the east coast. There can be some rain during these months across the island, so it’s worth bringing a rain coat but generally the weather should be good.
